Stuck in Seattle

We came to Seattle for a couple days and were supposed to leave on Monday Dec, 22. But during our short stay, Seattle got about 5-8inches of snow! Becauseof the snow, flights were delayed and cancelled and we are stuck in Seattle. Which also means that I had to reschedule my ultrasound appointment. So we will have to wait until January 7th to find out if we are having a boy or girl!

A new favorite toy...

Robby has been playing with this laundry basket all week. He crawls in and out of it, loads it up with his toys and drags it all over the house, and likes to spin with it on his head. I love cheap toys that will entertain for hours!

Happy Holidays!

This weekend we visited Santa and Mrs. Claus. Robby didn't want anything to do with either of them. We tried our best to make him smile or laugh, but all he kept saying was "help, help". I've also included his Santa picture from last year. You can really see how much he has grown!

We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas and also a Happy New Year!

(sorry for the bad scanning job. Our scanner isn't working that well. It kept adding the blue line down the center and it also kept cropping the pictures. But at least you get to see the important parts of the pictures still)

Baby update

Today we had our 2nd prenatal doctors appointment. We have made it to our second trimester! The first trimester was really rough on me, I was really sick and weak. But I am feeling much better now!

The baby is growing fast. Its already the size of a lemon; measuring about 3.5 inches and weighs 1.5 oz! All of its organs are formed and are starting to function and the baby already has its set of fingerprints.

We will be able to find out the sex of the baby on Christmas Eve. I've already got some guesses as to what people think its going to be. So far a girl is winning...sorry Rob. Tell me your guess and I will keep a running tally and we will see who the winner is!

Grandma Carol - girl
Grandma Karen C. - girl
Auntie Manesseh - girl
Rob - boy
Angela - girl
Christie - girl
Aubrey - girl
Great Grandma Mary - boy
Grandma Karen M. - girl

Guess Who's 2 Years Old?

On Saturday, Robby turned 2! For his birthday we took him to see the movie Madagascar 2, which he loved because of all the animals! Then he opened gifts and had cupcakes. Today he went to the doctor for his 2 year check up. He now weighs a whopping 24lbs which is almost in the 8% category and his height is at 35in which is at the 68% category. During his last visit in June his height was at 31in in the 10% category, so he has really shot up within the last few months!

Friday is my next prenatal doctor visit, so stay tuned for a new baby update!

Smart Boy!

Robby is one smart kid! (He must get that from his Momma!!)

He will hold up a toy and wait for you to say the name of it correctly. We try to trick him by saying something different, but he will keep holding it up until you get it right. Here is a video of Aunt Ness trying to trick him...

First Haircut!

This weekend, Grandma Karen, Auntie Ness, Daddy and I took Robby to get his first haircut. He did really good! He fussed a little in the middle of the procedure and then cried at the very end when the electric razor was brought out. He kept saying "help, help" so we gave him a sucker which seemed to keep him happy and still for a couple minutes! Now he looks so much older...I cant believe he will be 2 years old next month!

Play Date

A few months ago I joined a mom's club which has a lot of fun outings for kids. It's a good chance for Robby to meet and play with other kids his own age. Today we all went to a big play center that has lots of mazes, tunnels, slides, climbing tubes and 2 ball pits. It was alot of fun and I'm sure we'll visit often through out the winter! (I wish they had places like this when I was a kid!!)

Little Dancer

Here's some video of Robby's new dance skills. We are not sure where he learned to do this, but it's cute.

I See 2 lines!

That's right...we are expecting!

I wanted to tell Rob in a special way,
so I made this onesie for Robby to wear.

Rob didn't get it.
So I made him read it out loud, and he still didn't get it!

Sunny Seattle - Part 2 of 2

Robby had a great time playing with his cousin Kylee. He really liked putting her binki in and out of her mouth. I think he will be a great big brother one day!

Sunny Seattle - Part 1 of 2

Last week Robby and I went to Seattle for a long visit. We were able to see Great Grandma Mary, Grandma Carol, Grandpa Bob, Grandma Linda, Uncle Alex and their new exchange student, Aunt Verna and cousin Kylee, Uncle Brian and Aunt Sierra, Grandma Jan (a long-time family friend) and my step-sister Cassie and her family Joel, Heather and Emma.

Here are some pictures of our visit. I will post more pictures and video of Robby's visit with his favorite cousin Kylee in a couple days. (Its really cute)

We had a great time seeing all of you and miss you very much!
